A flowing translation of the Qur'an with an emphasis on coherence and subtleties lost in translation. An effective way of getting introduced to the Qur'an through a guided study. The explanation is made simple to understand, yet deep in meaning.
This will be a class offered through the Bayyinah Institute online course. It will be held 1x/week for both men and women. You can choose to attend either, Tuesdays at 12:30p.m. or Thursdays at 6:30p.m., for about an hour. This class will be beneficial for new Muslims, as well as those with more Qur'anic knowledge.

Eid Al Adha Party 2013
Eid party will held on Sat 10/26/2013 at the Masjid from 3:00-6:00pm.
There will be a barbeque provided by the Masjid. Please bring your favorite dish/drink/desert
Moon walk and other games will be available.
Please do not forget to contribute toward covering the cost of the Eid party.
Eid Al-Adha 2013
Reminder: There is no Sunday School on Oct. 20 (Sunday after Eid).
Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated on Tue, Oct 15, 2013.
Eid prayer will be held at Washington Park, Groton (If it rains, then the prayer will be at the Masjid).
Takbeer will start at 7:00 AM and Salat Al-Eid will be at 8:00 AM.
If the Salat to be held at the Masjid, then there will be a second Salat at 8:45 AM due to space limitation.
Noontime Tea Party
Come out and join us for the October portion of our Sharing Sisterhood Series. We will learn about important sisters during the time of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The ICNL Sister’ Union will be kicking it’s Fall Fellowship Series with a workshop, Sharing Sisterhood, hosted by Sister Matiniah Yahya, of New Haven.
Each month, for 4 months, we will have a new speaker and topic to promote bonding and growth amongst our sisters. So come out ready to relax, laugh and love with each other, Insha’ Allah.

Sunday School Announcement
Sunday School Registration will be held on Sunday, Sept 08 from 10 am to 12 noon. Classes will officially start on Sunday, Sept 15, and all students will be tested at the beginning of the school year to determine the appropriate levels of study in Quran memorization, Islamic studies and Arabic. The registration form and curriculum are available online.

Sunday School Planning

ICNL Summer Day Camp
ICNL is planning a summer day camp for children from age 4 and up, to keep our children together and continue Islamic teaching insha'Allah. We need to know what families are interested in attending and also if anyone wants to volunteer for part time or full time help.
ICNL School Graduation 2013
ICNL Sunday school will hold its graduation day on Sunday June 16. Program will start at 10 am.
Food will be provided and weather permitting, moon bounce will be setup for kids to enjoy the rest of the day, inshaAllah.

ICNL sunday school field trip on Sunday May 12 was a memorable one, alhamdolellah. With over 97 people joining the trip. Two buses were rented and the weather was very nice all day, alhamdolellah.

Janazah Prayer
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون - ICNL just got the sad news that Br. Yunus Pothiawala (Husein Pothiawala's brother) has passed away today in Norwich.
The funeral will be held on Friday, May 3 at ICNL. The Janazah prayer will be offered after the Jumua prayer (1:00 pm). Burial at Enfield Islamic cemetry will follow, inshaAllah.
